Hey folks,
I recently got me a copy of this Game.
I could install it without a prob and i also can start it normal.
When i start to play, everything is fine for about a half hour. The Game is smooth everywhere, graphics and UI, even on 1920x1200 (I have the 24" Dell Panel)
After a certain amount of time the Game starts beeing sluggish, then I can do anything, it won't stop acting sluggish, i also can set a 800x600 res with no animation , no difference.
But i found out, that if i alt +tab to Desktop, and run Task manager or anything else and after switch back to Civ4 it runs smooth again for 5 mins.... but i don't have any CTD's or BSOD's.
What could that be?
I have the newst ForceWare Drivers and the newst Audio Drivers.
I just have an pretty old nForce4 (Network) Chipset Driver, the only Version with doesn't suffer packet loss and/or Connection Issues ( ActiveArmor // Firewall )
My Comp:
AMD X2 3800+
2 Gig Ram (Dual-Chan)
Asus A8N-SLI Premium
1 x Gigabyte 6800GT 256MB, PCI-E
Does anyone has te same Problems?
And maybe found a soulution?
