Applying multiple mods.

How do i apply multiple mods so they happen in the same game at the same time? I understand that this may create conflicts if the same files are changed by both mods, but i can't imagine it being hard to have a conflict checker. I'm surprised that some type of multi-mod-loader utility isn't built into the game.

So.. do i have to manually back up the old stuff and copy over the smaller mod into the default game directories?

Actually, all you have to do is dump all the mod files together in one folder and then run that folder
