There's this little event display in the upper left corner that notes when a Great Person emerges, a wonder is built, etc. You also get a sound and an icon on the map for the current event.
So far, so good. But there appears to be a built-in minimum delay between events. So in mid-to-late game (solo play), when lots of stuff happens each turn all over the map, the event display gets seriously out of sync with the ongoing gameplay.
If I keep hitting Enter as soon as I'm done with my turn, the event display can be as much as ten turns behind the game! It's pretty funny when I build a wonder, play a few more turns, and THEN finally get the wonder notification...
Is there some way to shorten or disable this delay in-between event notifications? I didn't see anything obvious in the ini file.
