  • Question about production

    Hello!

One quicky: If I start building something and then regret it and want to "cash" the shields after some rounds, is this possible? How?

    Thanks

No, it is not possible. Start afresh with what you want to build, then return to what you were building before. If you haven't waited too long, then you will still have all your hammers accumulated -- you continue where you left off.

This also applies to research. It is not known how long until your hammers or beakers start to degrade; it probably varies with game speed, maybe on map size, etc.

        Thanks!

Though I would really prefer to have the option of cashing the shields on something that I may never have to use anymore.

Only because it is what you are used to. Now you can return to something you might have MUCH use for without losing so much -- perhaps NO loss at all!

You only get a "refund" in cash from production if you are building a World Wonder and somebody beats you to it.

Interestingly, you can get refund for "failed" Wonder contruction in another way:

Change your production queue in the city building the Wonder, and have another one of your cities start building the same Wonder. Once the Wonder is completed, you would get a refund from the first city's partially constructed Wonder.

Did not know that you can start a wonder if it is already partially built in another city's build queue.
Interesting way of making money from hammers.
