No effects on my system, but then, my crashes don't seem to be graphics-card related now; they mostly have to do with UI crashes on giving certain orders. (Which orders? Changes from one turn to another. Right now I can't have any workers make pastures or cottages, or go into "build trade network" mode, but existing workers in trade network mode work just fine.

Yep no change for me either, and my problem is definately video card related. Never makes it into the game for me. goes right through that loading splash window and then quits out. No change at all with 5.11 drivers. Time to try those omega drivers I think.

What makes you say "definitely video card related"? It doesn't sound like a graphical glitch.

Seems my reboot issues are gone.

I can't say for certain it's the 5.11 Catalysts that's due credit. I had no .NET Framework on my machine prior to using this driver kit, which required it, so it was also newly installed (2.0).
I used DriverCleanerPro to remove my old 5.10CP Cats.

The 7500 may need special options, because it's right on the edge of the hardware support feature set.

FWIW, the 5.11 drivers seem to have eliminated all of my video-related crashes; scrolling around, etc, no longer produce any crashes. They had no effect on crash on worker order, but my workaround for that (flat earth map) seems flawless.

Well I would have replied back to my own post sooner, but I've been too damned busy playing Civ4! I was able to play an entire game with out any crashes and it didn't even lag badly in the 20th century!!! (Medium gfx settings) I'm now playing another game (now with gfx set to high, though AA is still off) and am up to the mid 17th century without a crash yet though I did have one graphical messup where it just got all freaky and I knew it would crash so I exited.

Overall, excellent results for my 9600! Before I had been crashing to BIOS several times per game, so I'm pretty pleased with this. Obviously your milage may vary, but give it a try!
