Slow Load times and Sluggish Play

Windows XP proffesional 2002 service pack 2
AMD Athlon XP 3200+ 2.2 GHz, 512 Ram

ATI Raedon 9550 with up to date drivers.

Another thing i have experienced with the later stages of the game is slow load times (when it dosent restart my computer!) and slight sluggish gameplay in the late stage ie 1500 AD onwards!?!

I thought Civ 4 was meant to eliminate the sluggish play that dragged down the endings of large games in Civ 3?

Anyone think the same?

Get yourself another 512Mb RAM. That will make quite an improvement, and doesn't cost that much these days.
