  • Bombers - how to soften up an opponent

I'm playing late in the game against a comparable civ on a different continent. I have a ton of bombers. Does it make more sense to:

    a. go after their improvements?
    b. work on their units?

I can take a city only every four turns or so...

One more hassle I've noticed is that it takes four successful bombing runs to destroy one of their towns. Much easier to take out their mines and farms.

If you're gonna take the cities, first bombard the city defenses to 0 and then strike the defending units down to 50% health each (the maximum allowed). If you're not gonna take the cities, blowing up your opponents improvements is a good way to cripple a city.

Also, you have to bombard a town down to a village down to a cottage down to nothing....etc. It's much for valuable to do this with ground units as they will pillage cash from these tiles.
