Hi,
Hope my subject title already describes my problem well.
I have already searched through these and other forums but if someone has had this same problem i havent found it.
When I start up the whole init goes nicely. Then de screen with the game name and the planet with moving clouds appears (nice btw...could use it for a screensaver :P)
However: the main menu does not appear.
when I click around i sometimes see the "load-wheel" for a second or so but nothing else happens.
I've already reinstalled civ.
I've updated the ati drivers.
I've tried the omega drivers (yes I removed the ati drivers first
)
comuter is a fujitsu AMILO 1425 (laptop)
with a
128 mb 9700 ati mobility card
1.6 centrino (full pentium)
1 gb of mem.
and a 1200 by 800 res screen.
The game runs fine on my desktop btw.
any help is appreciated. I was so looking forward on playing this on my laptop during the journey home after work
