  • Perhaps stupid question but I can't figure out the answer.

First off, a lot of my cities are already having problems with over crowding (Bejing and Shanghi are already size 9, and I got 2 others at size 8, it's like 500 A.D.) Well anyway, what do I do to get the citizens not so mad at me about crowding. Also, I founded a religion, how do I send it to other countries, and I want to trade technologies with other civilizations, but there's never options for it, how do I get the options for that?

    to avoid crowding you can:

    - Draft soldiers (slavery civic needed and temporal raging of citizens)

    - Click in the icon with hammer (near minimap). This optimizes the production of the city (using the tiles with more hammers and less food) and thus the city will grew less

You need culture and buildings that let them live better, one is the aqueduct. Further down the line there probably are others that help keep the city growing, but also help in that way.

Healthier and making those citizens not feel as if they are crowded, but always some will feel that way!

I think that "crowding" is just the basic concept the game uses for unhappiness.
In order to combat unhappiness, you can do a lot of different things. I'll point out 2 of them:
        - provide access to luxury resources that give you happiness: Dye, Fur, Gems, Gold, Incense, Silk, Silver, Spices, Sugar, Whale, Wine, and later in the game, "Hits".
        - build happiness-increasing city improvements: Temple/Cathedrals, Colosseum, Theater. Also Market and Forge can bring happiness in certain conditions.
In the beginning, Earth was without form and void... then my life changed forever.

There is no point in allowing the city to grow too quickly too early as this only leads to crowding and uphappiness.
To avoid cities turning into unhealthy places filled with resiting people, turn some of your citizens into specialists. This slows growth and gives your more time to improve your infrastructure witch in turn will allow you to grow larger cities.

You need to build monestaries in your cities. This will allow the city to build the missionary-unit. Send theese units to the city you like to convert. Occassionally your religion randomly spreads to any other city in the world.
In order to trade technologies you first must discover the "Alphabet"-technology.
          GOWIEHOWIE! Uh...does that
          even mean anything?

If your civ is connected to another by roads or rivers, then your religion is more likely to spread to there on its own.
