  • User Interface questions

I have a few user interface questions. I may have missed something in the user's manual, but I couldn't find how to:

    - When you have multiple units on a space, is there a quick way to select which one to activate? (instead of clicking on the space and then choosing the unit near the lower left corner of the screen)

    - How do you queue up items to produce in the city production screen?

    - Can you queue up worker actions too?

    Thanks!

right-click on the units, then you can select

    - How do you queue up items to produce in the city production screen?
Just like in civ3: hold the shift key

    - Can you queue up worker actions too?
I've seen something in the tips and tricks section when you start up the game. I believe it said something about holding the shift key.

I think the stack attack option means that if you have a set of units grouped (a stack) and order the set to attack each will attack in turn. That is not the default behavior.

For those not familiar with unit stacking, its just you can shift click a set of portraits in the bottom right of the view window to move them as a group. You can also select the option, which i forget the actual name, but its something like go to all units, and it will stack all the units on the square.

What can be nice about it is all of the units move at the pace of the slowest unit. For example, your cavalry won't outrun your cannon, they'll stay with them over a long move.

I've found that you can order a stack of air units to all bomb a city and they'll all go at once, which is nice since the bombing animation can take a while if you let them go one by one. Note that you can't have a set of air units all air strike at once though, by default. I assume that if you have attack as stack on, all the air units will attack at once.

I use g all the time. I only right click when attacking and I want to check the odds first.
