Is it just me or is the tech tree messed up?

If a tech you have points to another one, it lets to research it, even if it has other prerequisites.

Also the tech tree in the game doesnt match up with the poster. Pottery and Metal Casting for example

You can reach pottery either by the wheel or you must have fishing and agriculture - then you can research pottery without the wheel.
This is how I understand the tech tree.

If I recall correctly, the tech tree in game doesn't actually have an arrow from pottery to Metal Casting, but it is a hard prerequisite along with Bronze Working. Other techs act like Lucilla suggests, like Animal Husbandry, which can follow from Hunting or from Agriculture.

From what I understand, if arrows lead to a tech, then just one of them is required. Any prerequisites that don't have arrows going from them to the desired advancement are the hard requirements.

Anyone else notice that on the hard copy tech tree both Replaceable Parts and Corporation are listed twice. One of the Corporation ones is suppose to be Economics, haven't checked the other one.

Doesn't matter if you can't. Just look for two near to each other that are the same.... assuming the French version has the same error of course.

You reckon if I ring them and complain they'll replace it with a correct one?

black means its a prereq
blue is either/or
yellow ???
red ???
green???
