Hi folks,
did some searching, did not find a topic that related to my problem. If I am repeating something already discussed, my apologies, and would appreciate a pointer to the right place.
I am having a weird problem when playing the game on my Dell Latitude D800 laptop (64 MB Nvidia GeForce4 4200 Go card). Sometimes, the game will sort of freeze when I hit End Turn. When I say sort of freeze, I mean the game display looks locked up, I can move the mouse, but no matter how long I let it sit there, it will not progress. However, here's the thing: if I hit Cntrl-Alt-Delete to bring up the Task Manager thing, then hit cancel, it returns me immediately to the game and the game resumes with no waiting. It seems to especially happen whenever a New Tech or New Production pop-up box would be opening.
Anyone seen this problem? Anyone know of a solution? It doesn't happen every game, and sometimes when it does happen, it gets better after an hour or 2. Seems very strange.
Also, does anyone know what driver to use to update a GeForce4 4200 Go (the mobile/laptop version). NVidia's site does not list a driver for it. Can I use the normal GeForce driver?
Thanks for any help,
Khoram
