  • Sir, our empire is expanding, build a Settler! SHUTUP MR ADVISOR! DIE DIE DIE

Help is appreciated and will be payed for with bananas.

you can hit escape and go under options (I can't think of the exact title, but it's fairly evident), I disabled the sid suggestions, and the other suggestion box.

My advisor sometimes want a library or a bank, but 90% of the time he wants a settler! I think they've just included the civ3 advisor without reprogramming him and he still thinks that ICS is the was to go!

You find advice annoying and then you ask for it here on this forum.

Have you tried building more settlers? Maybe that will keep the advisor quiet?

I think the advisor has a 6th sense and can see any uninhabited tiles (such as an island you have no idea where it is) and asks you to build one. Annoying though.,

What is the option to disable this message? It is wicked obnoxious, especially when you're getting it for two or three cities every other turn.

Yes, I want the other advice, like time to build a forge, time to build a lighthouse, I just want them to shut up about the settler. I think this is something that will have to be patched, am I right?

It’s amusing. No other factors are taken into consideration. There can be not one iota of open space, I can be running a massive deficit from taking a handful of cities in a war, and yet it cries out for me to build more Settlers, I assume to just wander about the map with nowhere to build.

Sometimes you can still build inside your borders to better use the tiles. Maybe that's what the advisor wants?
