Improvement Purchase

How do you purchase an improvement? I couldn't find it in the city display?

When your in your city screen Look in the bottom right hand corner by your civs flag theres a control panel at the top are 2 arrows click on one when highlighted to hurry your production.

You can only hurry with moeny if you have universal suffrage and you can only hurry with population when you have slavery.
