  • Scoring Points

I have been playing the game for awhile now, but I still don't understand how you get points. I know that there are serveral ways to get a game victory, but how do you get points for it?

    Thanks for the help,
    Bob

Here's an easy way to get a bunch of points: Start a game with no opponents. After a few turns you'll get a conquest victory. That netted me about 30x more points than any other game I had played.

How long it takes you to win is one of the big factors of score.

The book also mentions that if you hit f8 you will see a break down of your current score, and how close you are to objectives. Has this work anyone?

      Thanks.

Used to do something similar in Civ3, custom maps with a couple of mountains, one rival Civ and nothing else.

Bobby - there was a score breakdown in Civ3 so I expect one in Civ4 - just hit said F8 key if the manual states so.
