  • I wish the game would announce when a CIV goes extinct and-

I also wish the little circles with arrows leading to events were more easily clickable when they are behihd text; usually the upper left text). And that they stayed on the screen longer.

Ya, if you miss the line reading 'youve destroyed civ x' like I did the first time I took one, I ended up looking around for more of their cities, couldnt find any, then thought 'hmph, their civ must be destroyed - how nice of the game not to tell me' but I recently took someone else out and noticed the lil message popup for like 3 seconds...

If you miss an announcement you can always go back to the announcement log. The button is in the upper left hand corner right below the science rate I believe.

It was all a little clearer in Civ3 where your alarmed looking advisor popped up to tell you "X civ has been destroyed by the rampaging _____ forces"

I would but I don't play with those scores on - it makes knowing my place in the world too easy, then I know if I'm ahead or not. i don't like having perfect intelligence regarding that.

It would probably be a simple (but annoying) mod to handle events with popups instead of the events crawl.

Would you also know if the civ you killed is completely extinct without perfect intelligence?

if you think you've taken all of their cities, why not just check the diplomacy screen?

It's about the game REWARD man, not the information. I want the little pop-up REWARD!

A popup box would certainly be handy for certain things. Wonders being built in other civs would be nice...

In a way I think it's good that they have removed as many pop ups as possible since it gets tedious to click "ok" on information that often isn't really interesting. The downside might be that you can miss things if you don't look in the right place.
