  • How do you set a rally point?

Seeing as right clicking a tile no longer does anything lol!

This isn't an RTS game--it's just an S game.

All units start out in the city that creates them. There is no option to set any type of rally point.

As far as a right-click context menu, you need to enable this in your options. (It's off by default.)

        Good news! I was wrong.

I just stumbled across a reference to a thread that asked (and answered) your question about rally points. (Thread: How do I set rally points?)

In short, with the city selected, hold down the [Shift] key and right click on the tile you wish new units to automatically move to once they are created.

Now that I see this, I do kind of remember this feature in Civ 3 (and maybe even in Civ 2), but for my playing style, I never found it very useful.

        Sorry to initially misinform you.

thanks, entirely my fault for not searching. I looked at that thread and it didnt mention settin gcontinental rally points - am I going to have to do each city individually?

Control-click a city to select all of the cities on a continent.
Alt-click to select all of your cities.
Shift-click individual ones to select multiple cities.

It's right in the popup thing when you mouse over a city.

Did you try setting the rally point on the building city itself?

That's a good idea... but what if I set the rally point of all cities to one spot? Is the ONLY solution to go to each city and reset it? Civ3 had a nice feature where you could end ALL rally points from ALL cities with the one mouse click.

                    Thanks for the feedback though.

I'm pretty sure netWilk's idea will work for multiple cities as well. Give it a try

Yes, I understand that if I go to each city and set the rally point to the city itself, that will work. But can I turn off ALL rally points with one mouse click, without visiting EACH city?

If I select all cities, then rally point on one of them, all the cities produced units will then to to that one city.

Perhaps I misunderstand the original instructions. Thanks for the feedback.

Try it with all cities selected and see what happens.
