Is SRTEST and BSTEST?

I've never heard of a "9800 320M". I believe that these are actually 2 different products, the 9800 (which has hardware T&L) and the 320M (which does NOT have hardware T&L - I know this because that's the cheezy built-in graphics chip that I have in this laptop, and it does NOT have hardware T&L, meaning I am completely SOL trying to get Civ4 to work on the road). Along with many others, I am really disappointed in the graphical requirements of this game, especially since the important part of the game - the gameplay - is so damn good. I can't bring myself to put Civ3 back on this laptop because I can't play it anymore, now that I know how good Civ4 plays. And there's no chance my employer will buy me a new laptop just so I can play Civ4 on business trips. I'll stop *****ing now.

ElConeJo : why are all the "You Have:" parts missing your system information? When I run the test, it tells me in these spaaces what I have. In your example they are blank.

It looks like it knows nothing about your system.

That is exactly what was bugging me! I have no idea... and that is exactly why I asked for people to post a Screenshot: to see if it tells them something it doesnt tell me! I suspected this but had no idea how to go about figuring it out without having someone post up a screenie.

So... if it has no information on my computer... whats going wrong and how can I get it to give me an actual estimate of what I have...



P.S. You know, if it had no idea then why did it pass me?

General speculation. From the sounds of it, the terrain thing might be related to a misplacement of the fog of war. It seems that for some reason, the fog of war is centered on these maps, so it appears as though you haven't revealed any land- hence why if you go into the world builder and lift the fog, you can see terrain but it looks like your territory is covered by the fog.

did you install the active x it asked you to? if you didnt that might be why it doesnt show what you have,

Yea I installed it and everything... I have not the faintest clue what could have gone wrong... firewall interferance? requires Internet Explorer? ...huh I just resign to the fact I have no idea...
