I keep trying to find the right place in the manual but either it's not there or I am too blind to see it.
What decides the switching between eras/ages. Not the golden ages but the regular ones like medieval, modern etc.
Is it when I acquire a certain tech like in Age of Empires or is it regulated by turns and thus the years that go by as I play the game and not due to my efforts?
Most logical would be the latter but that would also render it pointless as a game concept if everyone hits the same stage at the same time.
