Well, my comp in the Phils...Just a bit over a year old...but no video card. Only 64 mb of video, integrated. So, I need to bring a vid card in order to play civIV, but does that comp have a pci slot or agp? It's an HP a300n. Well, they don't even know... that I can tell. If you can make heads or tails of the HP site I'd be grateful.

The a300n does NOT have an AGP slot. You need to find a PCI video card - and NOT a PCI Express, that's a different thing.

I suggest maybe an nVidia 5500 or thereabouts ... I've seen them for the PCI, and that's good enough for this game easily.

Yes, make sure you don't get a PCIe card by mistake-- those are the "mainstream" cards now, so it may take some looking to find a regular PCI card.
