All in all, I really dislike how scientific method obsoletes monstaries. I was at one point in a game holding onto all of the religions but I couldn't spread them because I couldn't build monastaries. Besides that, monastaries are great buildings for culture on a contested border, or as a coupling to the Spiral Minatet wonder.

Yeah, but it also generally pisses people off. Either other civilizations or own people.
I think I lost a game because I delayed scientific method and didn't get the proper military technologies. It seems that marines, and later modern armor are all incredibly uber compared to previous tech.Mylon Mod - Adressing game pace and making big cities bigger.

Well that's part of the decision making you have to come across. It wouldn't be all that fun, if it were too easy, would it?“I give you a new commandment, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also should love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
