Lincoln's Gettysburg address has 226 words, The Ten commandments has 296 words. The US dept. of agriculture's order setting the price of cabbage has 15,269 words

1? but isnt 1 the loneliest number ? That is a lot of babymaking or whatever constitutes "building" a new city settler for one lone population point...I'll try it in my next game

I go Worker first usually at size 3. Depends on what terrain you have though... if you have bonus food in the area (which is usually the case) then you can often gain more by getting a Worker out sooner.

I've been running, geography dependent of course:

            worker
            barracks
            warrior
            warrior
warrior (or not, depends how close to new pop number)
            settler
            settler

If I start with fishing and am coastal with a resource, then I'll probably start with a work boat then the above string.
