6800 video lag problem

alright.. i have a 6800nu w/ pipelines unlocked OC'd and 1 gb of ram, cpu = seriously oc'd athlon xp

theoretically, i'm not supposed to lag, and in fact, i dont for the first 10 minutes.... then it gets laggy.... then laggier.... then... like 1 fps in about 20mins of play

i dont think its cuz the units got too many or whatnot... i changed the resolution to a different one and back and everything is smooth again... so when i play... i have to constantly change resolutions from 1680x1050 to 1280x1024 every 2 turns... is there someway to fix this?

never tried windowed mode... i'm suspecting that there's some memory leakage here, that my video resources are not getting freed up... i guess changing the resolutions frees it up...

is this happening to anyone else?
