My plan to play CivIV

Well I bought the game and it won't run, but I really didn't expect it to as I don't have a graphics card. No big deal, I'm going to purchase a GForce 6600. Playing here in the US isn't a biggy, I'll bring the game and the 6600 to the Phils and have a comp guy there put it in. Then it has to work as I don't have internet. So, what do you think? My comp there is fairly up to date, though I can't give specs on it. It's a HP about 2 years old. The 6600 should have good nuf drivers right out of the box, right?

Well you can check the specs of your computer by right clicking on my computer and selecting "Properties".

I think the computer he is concerned about is on the other side of a really big lake.

Lancer, You'll need AGP in the Portland computer and get an AGP card to have a chance. The 2 year old computer in the Phils would have AGP if it has anything. I say 'if it has anything' because not all motherboards in that type of computer have slots for any kind of advanced graphics (AGP or PCIexpress).

Other than that, just take a CD with everything burned onto it that could conceivably help (drivers, patches, whatever pops up here soon) and you should be set.
