Dumb Question - P3 v P4

I know official specs require a P4, but my laptop will have the T&L problem (not supported, have to do the view all tiles trick), and my desktop is a relic.

I have a celeron in my desktop in socket370, as far as I can tell, the highest CPU I can go to with this socket is a P3.

I can pick up a P3 (and GeForce graphics card that'll run the game) pretty cheap for my desktop.

Does anyone have the slightest idea if a P3 stands any chance of running the game? (I know the clock speed of the P3 would cover the required 1.2 - nad, on srtest.com, they seem to think a P3 will run it, but I think they said this BEFORE the official specs came out).

(I know sometimes even official tech specs are of).

My wife won't let me buy a knew desktop . . . trying everything!

Just buy it in pieces, and put those pieces in the old desktop case.

I think it should run on a P3 as well of course with the right clock speed, they aren't very specific about the AMD processor, it just needs at least a clock speed of 1.2GHz. Disclaimer: With an AMD Athlon I didsn't try the P3, of course.
