Sorry for the no responce, I had to sleep. :P

So I made a small mistake, its not 'Audio Setup', its 'Audio Speakers':

This is the only change I made, and now all my problems are gone... actually I did change my Anti-Aliasing to '0' from '4' - but I left all details on highest, and res. at max.

    Good luck, hope this helps!

Ahh! Interesting. I didn't even look at that before, I'll try it and see whether it helps.

My CTDs seem to have something to do with size of map. I am exploring the theory that they have to do with clicking end turn as soon as it turns red, instead of waiting until events are done processing.

          Map Size!

"Map Size" is defenitly part of the problem! Also when it gets bogged down withs units and cities will increase the crash to desktop thing! It likes to do it on me when map is fun and mostly uncovered between 1600AD-1900AD once I scroll the Mini-Map for a bit! MEMORY LEAK!

FWIW, changing sound had no effect. Still crashy.
