  • quick religion questions

Is it always a good idea a to spread your religion (holy city w/ shrine) in all circumstances (except when u plan on going to war with them later)?

More religions for your own cities is also always good (since u can build more temples etc) correct?

If you have free religion civic do you still ahvet the benefit of seeing the cities which have "your" religions (the ones that u have holy cities w/ shrine)?

    1) As far as i am conserned, yes. Even if you are going to war with someone it might be a good idea to spread your religion there. The one negative effect could be if that civilization converts to your religion. And only in case there is at least one other AI player of that religion.
This is due to the fact that AIs will be upset if you attack civs they "like". So if they have the same religion it would be a greater chance that the other civ will dislike you for attacking the first.

    2) Well if your low culture border city comes under the heathen religion of your high culture neigbour, which has it as state religion there will be a greater chance for the city to flip.

    3) I think so yes.
