I've heard about all the heartache and that stuff, so I do NOT want to buy Civ IV or a laptop if they will be incompatible.
(I already know my desktop doesn't have T&L abilities, so it cannot play CivIV).
What I want to do is get a laptop that can play Civ IV--because I need a new machine anyway and if I can kill two birds with one stone, so be it.
The specs CAN BE ADJUSTED (because I haven't purchased this yet), but here they are right now:
Compaq Presario V4000T
--Windows XP Home Edition with SP2
--Pentium M Processor (1.6 Ghz)
--128 MB Radeon Mobility X700
--1.0 GB DDR2 SDRAM
--40 GB Harddrive (@ 4200 RPM)
Would this machine play Civ IV well? What should I look to reconfigure?
