Am I the only one who has a hard time figuring out what the net result of a terrain improvement is going to be before I do it? I wish the tooltip showed the resulting output (net result) of the square, instead of the gross gain on the square.
Example: If I have a forest/plain square and I build a workshop on it will I gain or lose hammers overall? The tooltip for workshop says I'll lose 1 food, gain 1 hammer and lose the forest. Losing the forest will also cause some hammers to be removed from the square's output too, no? I don't have the whole terrain chart memorized so I 'm never sure whether it'll be a gain or a loss...
Or if I want to replace one improvement with another it just tells me what my new improvement will do, but not how much replacing the old one is gonna cost. Since some improvments output varies over time (e.g. cottages) it's seems like a lot to memorize just to calculate the effect of an improvement.
Or am I missing something?
