Man, i can't figure out how some many people are unhealthy cause of overpopulation. What's going on? How do i fix that? It seems like 11 or so complain about that, and one will complain about a Forge. So, am i doing something wrong? How could 80-90% of my people be complaining about overpopulation? Build something? Move them out?

health and happiness, you need both in this one.
tips: plan your city wisely. Pasures are wonderful for an added health boost, as is access to fresh water. Terrain such as flood plains which have a negative effect should be handled carefully. Put them workers to work!
make sure you build your aqueduct, and when you can, hospitals (red cross is also nice to have)
in later games, you may need to go environmental.
That's all I remember off the top of my head.
Oh - and more importantly. Unhealthy people consume more food than normal, but that's it. You can keep growing (to a point) without them
The best strategy I've found is to limit my growth by creating specialists until I've built the infrastructure/surrounding area well enough to support the health requirements for growth. (and specialists come in VERY handy)

From what I've read, the more different kinds of food resources you have (whether through settling, trade, or conquest) the healthier your people are. But note that your food resources have to have the appropriate improvement built on them to have their effect.

Almost all variety of food resources (maybe all? not sure) increase your cities' health. Some citizens will be healthy be default, depending on the difficulty level you are playing on and the others will be "unhealthy" by default. You can make them healthy connecting food resources and building health related city improvements: aqueduct, hospital, I believe harbor as well, red cross and so on.
Terrain modifiers also count. Forrest for example is beneficial and add some positiv health points.
Basically the health system is working almost the same way as happiness was working in civ3, although there is a much bigger variety of food resources available."The only way to avoid being miserable is not to have enough leisure to wonder whether you are happy or not. "

A fast word about oral contraception. I asked a girl to go to bed with me and she said "no".

Fish without harbour* = health + 1
Fish with harbour = health + 2
* not sure if it's the harbour but you get the idea.Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

I certainly could use a nice overview what are all the options to get health and happyness. It seems to depend on everything.
Secondly, is there a way to get a warning whne a city (partly) shutsdown? I am happy that the riots are over, but would like to get a popup to focus my attention.

If there's an unhealthy problem in your city you'll see a green smiley on the main map above it's name and a red one if there's at least one unhappy person in there. Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able?
