The game will run, but you will need to turn off the fog of war in the map editor (which is, essentially, cheating, because you'll be able to see the map), and all of the world leaders will just be floating eyeballs.

Archon - The game works with real video cards, including Radeons.

Without T&L, it's possible to run the game, but you won't be able to play normally.

I dont think you'll have a problem. The X600 have the possibility to do hardware T/L.

If you have a problem, it will be because they seem to have some trouble with Ati Video Cards. But many people succeed to play at Civ4 with their Ati radeon.

Of course it will, the X600 is a new-generation card.

From wich i understand with computer.

T&L(Transform and lightning) is the possibility for the video card to calculate many special effect(visual special effect). And this way it will free the processor, since the processor do not need to calculate this kind of thing.

And yeah it will run very well...

                    See ya,

What about the ATI RADEON MOBILITY 200? (With the 128 dedicated memory, not the 32MB -128 shared)

                      Brother gotsta know,

ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 -- works fine

(on an IBM Thinkpad T41p. The game's a bit sluggish, so I switched to low resolution and minimal details and it's playable.)

I *think* I read on the CivFanatics forum that Intel 9** series integrated video works pretty good (because it has T&L), but the 8** series don't work properly.

I'd doublecheck, but I've had a hard time getting onto that forum today.

Thanks! I've find the forum wich talk about this!

Okay listed here are most modern chipsets along with their TnL capability. I'm surprised on how many people have their facts wrong. TnL is feature from 2000. Newer cards don't even mention it. Instead what counts in newer cards is pixel shader capability...

TnL get your facts straight (chart included)
