HELP! Radeon 9200 SE and DirectX 9.0??

Hi there.
I'm about to purchase the game, but actually, looking at ATI support site, my videocard don't support DirectX 9.0.

Now, the system requirements for Civ IV state that you got to have a 9.0 compatible card, and then say "Geforce 2 / Radeon 7500 or above".

Now...i'm above Radeon 7500...but i don't think my card support Drectx9.

Do i just have to install the DirectX?
Or it won't work?

I use my pc for music...so i really wouldnt like to change the card only for one game...
