Does this qualify as a bug?

After a short time of play (my record without this error is about 50 mins) the screen turns to a grid of primary colors. The only way to fix this is to reboot. It's now happening so often the game is unplayable. Huff. Any suggestions?

Details on computer equipment? Could it be an overheating problem?

I am running Civ IV on two computers. My Radeon 9550 based machine runs perfecly, but on my second one ( almost the same specs as yours only with GF Ti4200 ) I got the same problem. It makes the game unplayable because for me that weird crash happens all the time

        ...Any solutions ?
