  • Random Map Bug?

A bunch of people over at somethingawful.com are repoting playing on the exact same randomly generated map. I still can't play (ATi), but I'm posting their complaints here in case they don't come on over.

    Screenshots:

As you can see, it's the same exact map, with different civs on it.

    Anyone else play this map?

    Sure they didn't "made" this?

Not the biggest problem either imo.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing?

I'm not sure, but in the civ4 thread it was "Holy **** I just played the same random map."

I just got the same map too.

Start a custom game on a large continents map.

Maybe the map seed is not randomly generated due to some combination of starting conditions. Can you post everything you selected, verify it is dupilcated, and change settings one at a time till you get a different map?

My GAWD! I just realised what I suggested there. That could entail hours of work!
