game runs slow

I have
Amd xp athlon 2800+
1024MB ram
Geforce 6600GT
SB Audigy 2
and i have downlod new drivers to my gefroce.
and all setings are the lowest.
and when i play its lags realy mutch

is my cpu 2 slow ?

What do you have running in the background? Spyware?? What kind of maps are you playing, how many civs...etc?

My specs are similar-ish and never noticed any real slowdown.

I dont have any program in the background. And i play a large map and 7 players.

Settings aren't really going to matter in your case, your videocard can surely handle those, large maps are going to be a strain on your processor no matter what, no reason to upgrade though (for now).

I'm surprised seeing real lags, I must say, on the other hand I have no real experience with large maps.

Is the game for sale in Sweeden? So far its not in Stores in Norway and i am headed over the border to sweeden on saturaday so if its for sale there i would like to know.
