Fonts Not Showing

Hi I just purchased Civ4 and am trying to run it on my laptop. All my system requirements are met except for the T&L. The game runs fine so far, except one HUGE problem. There are no fonts showing up. This is from the very first screen after the game is launched, where I would choose my type of game from what I'm assuming is the Main Menu? I have a Trident CyberALADDIN-P4. If T&L is the problem, is there any workaround for this?

I think that lack of T&L support is your problem, then. Even if you manage to start a new game, you'll experience black textures and missing textures. This game requires T&L.
