Didn't work for me. It got rid of the "Renderer Error", but now it goes to a black screen, after the splash & loader screens, but then boots me back to the desktop.

WinXP MCE SP2
Radeon 9550
Drivers & DirectX 9.0c up to date

GOT IT!

I just created a new user account in windows, and then launched the game. And for some reason, it worked! Not sure why, but it runs like a dream!
