Freitach, submit your info in a new thread (same goes for others). I assume it's easier to keep track that way.

              thanks everyone... I appreciate it.

according to Moose, our lead programmer, this line is wrong:

              Driver Name: ati2dvag.dll
              Driver Version: 6.14.0010.6575 (English)

this means you have the old ATI drivers.

              - What's it for?
              - It's for my cannon.

Per my post in the other thread, those are the drivers I just downloaded from the ATI site, filename 5-10_xp-2k_dd_cp_wdm_27256.exe

Of course, I did use the ATI driver cleaner...maybe that didn't work as well as I thought it did. I'll try again.

please let me know if this doesn't work:

                  1. Go to:

                  2. Click "Video Drivers".
                  3. Click "ATI 256MB RADEON X850 XT Platinum Edition".
                  4. Download it and follow the instructions, and voila you should be good, assuming you installed Civ's DX9 updates correctly.
EDIT: 5. Oh, and remember to reboot please.

                  The new driver specs are:

                  Version: 6.14.10.6525
                  Release: 3/29/2005
                  - What's that?
                  - It's a cannon fuse.
                  - What's it for?
                  - It's for my cannon.

Please make sure you have the latest drivers and try again.

Just noticed the same for me. Deinstalled old Ati Drivers through the Software Menu from Windows, ill try that CAT Uninstaller now and will update you all (in a new thread then if needed).

Your two quotes contradict eachother. The former says our drivers are old, the latter says the old one works.

That driver is for a PCI-X card as well. I'm not sure it will work on my 9600 PCI.

6.14.10.6525 is the newest version I can find on ATI's site. Where are you getting 8.18?

I'm going to try the drivers from http://www.omegadrivers.net/

I found this on the other thread. They have version 5.10a. I'll let you know if this works.

sorry, I copied that from a posterer who had gotten it to work. This is the correct version:

                          Driver Version: 8.18.0.0
                          - What's that?

                          - It's for my cannon.

And where can these drivers be found? ATI's website only has 6.14.10.6525 as far as I can tell.

Yes, same thing here. I can't find later drivers than the ones listed. If you could post the drivers that you have somewhere, it'd be great.

Edit: Poorly said. Later drivers than the ones I have listed, rather than the ones you list.
