    How to spend the time until the game arrives

    I've kept a close eye on the info coming out from the previews here and on civfanatics, and I'm really looking forward to the game: but it's not going to get to me here in Italy until probably 5th November.

    Fortunately I'm going on holiday until the 3rd november to some place with no internet or telly, so I will be not be too frustrated...

    So, will look forward to seeing what the lucky ones who get it earlier think of the game when I get back. It'd be great if some of you try to follow Solver's lead and write up some good stuff about your experiences with the game.

    And I of course look forward to seeing a photo of yin munching away...

    An getting someone to send me the python and xml scripts from Civ4 so I can start learning how to mod.

            studying(not)for a test, for a hopefully new job on the day of release

            still have time left afterwards for a couple hours to play
            anti steam and proud of it

              I should be doing a paper, which will take about four to five hours but I can't get myself to do it.
              Problem is, it's two in the morning here and it has to be done by errr now.

                              I am spending the time thinking about how much the game sounds like it has incorporated concepts from SMAC. This makes me feel good. Civics, diplomacy, specialists, these sound like SMAC concepts. Special abilities for units.

                              Plus the end of ICS? Well, it sounds way too good to be true.

                              If the AI can keep up, maybe, maybe this will be the best Civ game yet.
