  • What Will you be Ignoring after Civ 4's Release?

So I hear Civ 4's release is tomorrow (A Tuesday? Nutso...). For those brave few who are going to be buying it before the first doubtlessly essential patch is released, what responsibilities and aspects of your life will you be ignoring to play this game to death?

For me, as a Britlander, the game's not released for another week, but it's as my university's reading week starts, so I'll have a totally free week to play it anyway. Nice, eh?

Wife, kids, hygiene. The normal stuff.

Oh, and sleep. Sleep is for the weak.

I foresee much university working remaining undone.

That and healthy food, sleep and hygiene, like Stuie said, the normal stuff.

      Oh and... Apolyton

Sunny autumn days. Work on a scholarly piece (only for two weeks or so, but still). Sleep.

I think I'll spend much less time on 'Poly. And I'll probably drastically cut off my Guild Wars time.

Other than that, I don't think I'll change my habits. I need the sleep these days .

              Life, the Universe, and Everything.
That's what I fear, that I will get nothing else accomplished, going short on eating and sleeping (and then swing the other way). Obsessive-Compulsive behavior, pure and simple.

                  I'll just ignore my life

Hmmm.... waitaminute, I don't have a life, so how can I ignore it?

...obviously not, since you've posted here.

I wonder how I'll get by going to sleep at 4AM and getting up for work at 7:45.

Oof, it gets harder the older you get.. and I'm 28 without kids. I can only imagine how screwed I'm going to be when Civ5 comes out.

I'll be getting less sleep for sure. Probably will put Guild Wars away for a little bit.

I won't be sacrificing much, mostly some of my spare time(which is pretty large, but I'll try to keep some kind of social life going).
