Is there religeous persecution modeled in the game. SO that if I become a budhist country that I only allow my citizens to follow that religeon.

If I am muslim can I delcare a Jihad which other muslim countries might act on.

Also they should of encorporated some ancient relegeons. I want my civilization all worshipping Zeus.

You can't stop people from worshiping and particular faith, but you can via Missionaries convince them to worship your faith, and via Theocracy stop any more people from converting to the non state religion.

You can declare a war and say it was for relgious reason and try to convince other nations to follow suit, but nothing is directly implented for conducting specifically a "Holy War"

Buddism

Yes, theocracy is a civic that stops the spread of the non-state religion.

If you declere war with another nation you will have an easier time convincing nations with your religion to go to war with you, as nations are more friendly in diplomacy when they share the same religion as you. Based on what I know, there is no Jihad as a concept though.

For gameplay purposes it was decided 7 religions was the best number, and see the link for more info.

Well quite a few of those are in fact ancient religions
