        You might be underestimating the flexibility of the Civ4 foundation. That Quake4 is based on the Doom3 engine doesn't make it a lesser game.

                Someone else could make a Colonization mod as well. Of cource it woudln't be the same without the budget a firaxis can put into it. (IIRC firaxis owns the colonization name)
