Have you tried http://apolyton.net? My work has it blocked if I use www. but not if I leave it off.

Oh, and to be on top... Nice pics! They actually have me looking forward to the in-game movies that I always profess are unnecessary.

we probably have goten on some "gaming sites" lists that firewall software might block

Firaxis has released a related doc on victory conditions
Sid Meier's Civilization IV Victory Conditions

Civilization IV not only delivers the best gameplay experience in the history of the series through gorgeous 3D graphics and sound, and hefty new features like religion, civics, and great people - this groundbreaking version also offers players six unique ways to become the ruler of the world!

                        1. Time Victory - achieved by the player who can do whatever it takes throughout all of human history to defeat enemies, expand their civs, win the hearts and minds of the people, and boasts the highest score at the end of the game, in 2050 AD.

                        2. Conquest Victory - achieved by the player who successfully eliminates all of their rivals, including some of the most famous leaders throughout history.

                        3. Domination Victory - awarded when a player uses military might and cunning negotiation tactics to conquer a certain percentage of the world's population and global land mass.

                        4. Cultural Victory - awarded when a player has developed a culture so powerful that three of their cities have achieved legendary culture status.

                        5. The classic Space Race Victory - achieved when a player is the first to complete all of the components necessary to send colonists off into space to found a new colony on Alpha Centauri.

                        6. The brand new Diplomatic Victory - awarded to the diplomatically gifted player who, at the end of the game, is elected to become the Secretary General of the United Nations.

curious how the brand new diplomatic victory works, and how hard it might be to get.

The UN is one thing I can finally say about that it's covered in my preview. The diplomatic victory is better than Civ3, and more satisfying to get.

I find it really neat on that UN screenshot: if you look at the flags, they are the in-game flags rather than the ones from today's world. For example, the French one is the Fleur-de-Lys (like it is in the game), rather than today's tricolor.

That's the kind of attention to detail that I like
