  • One City Challenge in CivIV!

Get video game news, reviews, and videos for thousands of PC, console, and mobile games at Shacknews.

But that's just the start of the multiplayer possibilities with Civilization IV. The new "Double City Elimination" option means if you lose two cities, you're out. ["One City Challenge" means you can only have one city. The "Always War" and "Always Peace" games limit you to one or the other. All of these can be mixed and matched to create exactly the kind of multiplayer Civ game you want to play.
So OCC is in - I suppose the 2 national wonders per city limit won't apply here.
The problem with leadership is inevitably: Who will play God?

In one of the screenshots said it that Bureaucracy gives +50% Hammers and +50% Commerce in Capitol City. So I think that this shall be the most used civic in OOC games

Great. And that always peace option sounds like a good thing to have if I ever were to play MP. Then I could be sure to be able to focus on building my civ! Although peace all the time is not my usual strategy, builder or not...

I wonder if all civs will only be allowed to play with one city, or just your own civ? Or just the civs your select (for MP games)

It would be pretty pointless if every other civ had to build one civ...the point it that you can still win and beat the AI even with your hands tied behind your back...

"Always Peace" will be anything but peaceful. There will be religious and culture wars.

Yeah, that's why I was wondering if Firaxis got that point

About the Always peace: that's an interesting concept

Did anybody notice that rabbit wonder in the bottom left corner?

You should have made it smaller.

And suddenly yin wants to attach his "name and fame" to civilization IV very badly

I still actually think it's going to be a push over game (full of ICS type exploits) until the mods come out...but I have to admit that darn, cardboard-eating rabbit just brightens my day...so I love seeing him posted when possible.

That could have been photoshoped better. Kinda like this:

                              Atleast make the effort!
