  • Slashdot Questions to Sid and Techies

Anybody have a clue as to when they expect to hear back from Sid and crew?

In the meantime, if you submitted a question, why don't you post it in this thread...or even if you didn't but have subsequently come up with some questions.....

After they're done concentrating on something more important... like finishing the game?

        Finishing the game!

They don't have time to talk right now, I want the game now!!!

Hmmm... wait a minute... how much does Sid himself actually have to do with this game? Wasn't he just there to 'overview' and betatest the game from time to time?
This space is empty... or is it?

          Something like that, AFAIK.

In any case, with the screenshots on display on the Firaxis website, I suppose the game is finished and in the process of being produced for distribution.

There have been screenshots on that site for months, why does an update equal going gold?

Plus, if they go gold, you can rest assured we will hear about it real soon...

Less then 3 weeks before an announced release date, and not gold yet? Scary...

That's good. As long as they're not gold, they're fixing bugs and making the game better Gold > retail doesn't have to take very long. I've seen games where it took almost a month, I've seen games do it in a little over a week. Hopefully they won't go gold for another week or two...
