    Argghhhhh

Why am I not allowed to order the pre-sell version of Civ ?

Is it a sin to live in Paris, France ?

I'm now wondering whether I'll buy civ or not. Commercial policies should be careful with the touchy "local" and "indigenous" pride.

    1) You probably won't need the things you get in the preorder version anyway.
    2) You'll still get the game if you buy the normal version.
    3) I think #2 is our primary goal.
    4) If you won't buy the game because you don't get a poster and such things, for a much higher price, I pity you.

I agree it does kind of suck that only the US gets the preorder, and Im a Us'er.

Even though you are French to boot

It's only inside the United States that things can be considered a sin.

The thing Im most interested in is that tech tree and keyboard layout......I dont know if its worth all the extra effort ordering from a US retailer just for that.

What's the biggest draw for you guys in getting the pre-order version?

The added convenience of having a pre-printed tech tree is, ah ... CONVENIENT! Assumes it is of readable size, of course.

Keyboard shortcut card is going to help, but I'm sure it will be available here within hours. For a quick learning curve, a spiral bound manual is just another nice touch. Assuming the manual is good.

When I saw the standard edition box art my first reaction was "HOW UGLY!" Strangely enough, when I consider emotional buttons, the box art is my biggest issue. I am SO HAPPY I am getting the pre-order edition. I do not associate it with looking like a bible as many others seem to do.

The fact that the pre-order doesn't cost me any extra is nice, though I would have paid an extra $15 if necessary.
