I think this is just some silly fun someone's having, but why go to the trouble of buying ad time on FilePlanet? I'm wondering if this is a clever ad campaign by Firaxis/Take2... And if so (or even if not!)?

It's an ad by Firaxis. About a year ago, when the news about CivIV started to resurface, there was an ad like that aired, featuring Sid.
