Does seem that the city graphics change with age, but it is hard to see on the low res shots.
On page 2 there is a layer view option. This was news to me. Some of the screens seem to have placeholder art, so much of this is still "work in progress"Comment

City graphics should change with age, too, I don't want wooden hovels in the 20th century.
