Especially do not eat the Civ Box of your parents' copy of the game. They may need it for throwing against the wall in frustration. "What do you mean they just killed my stack of infantry?!?"

What am I worried about? There's not enough sugar content in a cardboard box to tempt US children.

Much as I feel that Yin26 has been a little too negative in posted anticipations, I have to confess that threads over those posting have delightfully filled this time of anticipation. We all have our own way of contributing to the community. Thanks Yin!!

Until you haven't your own children moving first steps around rooms, or you work with babies as my wife do, you can't believe what they try to put in their mouth...
OTOH, they usually are too much young to read wise warnings printed on the boxes, so it's probably not their fault.

          • Yin, I suppose anyone here can let you peel off and throw away the first layer (the printed one) from the cardboard. Eat the cardboard in small part and keep someone handy with a phone ready for a 911 call.
(BTW, if you take a movie of this special meal I bet your movie and name will be around the Net in days, ranked just below the last Paris Hilton piece of art )
It's so sad that first time ever in a public sphere my name is mentioned in the same paragraph as "Paris Hilton" and "Video" but the result is just me eating some cardboard...

Imagine the disappointment of thousand of naughty boys that try a "paris hilton" google search, download the video and start playing... an unknow man eating some kind of a box!

You can try to become a RIAA payed advertiser: don't download unknow video from internet, it's unsafe and a crime!

"Game critic eats the game box"
                      "Firaxis 1 - Yin 26... no, 0"

HILARIOUS! Solver, man, if I die from ink poisoning, I'd like you to do the write up for me, you know, with a friendly spin:

Reporter: "So you guys just pushed him to do this, like some kind of teenaged pressure cooker?"

Solver: "Nah, man. You gotta understand, things were different back then, man. Less hung up. More radical, bro. Catch what I mean? To us, games weren't just products of an evil gaming empire driven solely by the the Profit Motive, catch me? Hey, Sid started in a garage with a 9 digit calculator to do his programming, two waffles to keep him fed through winter, and a copy of The Art of War nearby ... in Chinese man! THAT'S what the essence of Civ was, baby.

No, Yin wasn't pressured. Yin became one with Civ. Civ became one with Yin. Where does Yin end and Civ begin, right? It's like that now, man. Visit Yin's grave, you'll see. Right on the head stone it's there:

'Here lies Yin. Based on cities overtaken, achievements accomplished, and science researched, history will forever deem him YIN the FOOLISH.'"

Reporter: "So you think it was kind of like a religion to Yin?"

Solver: "Nah, man. Yin hated religion...that and culture flipping."
