I'm with LN, worrying about bugs early on making the game unplayable at turn 30, two months into the game

It's never too early to plan and discuss, as long as you recognize that everything is subject to change when you actually GET the game.

While I have often been enjoyed reading demogame reports, I have never participated in one and do not yet intend to.

While I'm a diehard MP player at heart, we(the ladder) have taken part in the C3C ISDG and I did enjoy that aspect of a "slow" MP game.

I might suggest that you consider the Persistant Turn-Based Server, better known as "Pitboss" for a DG format.

A player with a permenant internet coonetion could be the host and then an team member with the pw could just login to look at the turn after the turn has been played, and no saves need be sent.

Just a thought to take advantage of a new feature of CIV.

General(or President Aggie if you like) Aggie reporting for duty. When do we convert the other countries to our enlightened ways(or kill them trying).

If we did a 'singleplayer' DG, at least we'd be safe from any exploits, etc - they would only unbalance the game if we played a multi-team DG.

I'd be worried that i'd have to end up with two installs of civ though, once the patches start coming out.

I think we both know the answer to this.
